I spent my birthday morning in the scrap yard digging threw there lead box to get what is shown in the pictures. I would like to know if the small piece in the picture is pewter? Thanks in advance!

can't quite make it out, if it is pewter it will say so on the bottom.

It doesn't say pewter on the bottom. The only thing I can barely read is antimony lead base.

In the 2 buckets it looks like lino type. I am amazed it still shows up at scrap yards. I picked up 4 plates about 1x6x10 inches. One was carved with an outdoor scene, one had mountains started and the other two were blank. The scrap yard charged me the same as the lead sheet, I wasn't complaining[smilie=1: I "know" good pewter and linotype/monotype should be reclassified as "precious" metals.......all round an excellent score.

From what I could find, the candlestick looks like it is silver plated. Since it says "antimony lead base", then I assume the whole thing is antimonial lead coated with silver. So, it is not pewter.
The two buckets look like monotype or foundry type, not linotype. Linotype is "lines of type", not individual letters.
