Just starting loading for NEI 335 plain base and 355gr GC.

Looking only for ACCUATE (100-200 yard loads).

Handi rifle.

Suggestions as to rough starting point?

.44's using heavy boolits love the slow burners like H-110, WW 296, Lil'Gun, and WC 820. The heaviest boolits I use are the Lee 310 gr. RNFP. It shoots great with 19 gr. of WC 820 or 20 gr. of H-110/WW296 in my Redhawk. Work up from below in your gun.

Try the Beartooth Bullets website and then go to the tab at the top of the page for their "Loadswap" section.

IIRC they will have some data for the .44 "heavies" that they sell which may prove useful as a starting point.

Hope this helps,:-)
