I just saw recently that Rainier Ballistics and Berry Bullets make plated bullets for 45-70, anyone use these before? thanks

This is not what you asked but I shoot the Rainier 200HP thru three 45 ACPs and they work very nicely.:-P

Interesting! I have used rainier with good results but not in the 45-70. I would think they would do well if not pushed too hard because the 45-70 usually like soft bullets and these are softer than jacketed and don't lead unless pushed too hard.

I can't speak for the 45-70 but I use their 9mm 147gr bullets and 380 100gr plated bullets for my subsonic submachine gun loads through the supressor. They are good bullets and the quality is fine.
I would buy them without any hesitation.

No Clue,
Interesting snigature line:

"A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have. -Thomas Jefferson"

Seems to be what we've got now?

both are soft core bullets and fairly soft copper plating. having shot thousands of both manufactures, i would put the rainier's above the berry's.
