Improper loading techniques are dangerous period. Smokeless in a firearm rated for blackpowder is unsafe. Smokeless in a muzzleloader rated for smokeless is safe.

Ruger Old Armys were proofed with Red Dot and 4Fg black powder booster, I shoot the "Secret ahandshake" recipe i mine with 240-grai Maxi-ball for 900 fps = .45 Colt and have killed lots of deer withit.

outpost, not that I'd use it but would you pm me the secret handshake recipe. just like to know for a real shtf type situation what could get you out of a pinch. studied the cut shotgun shells but don't want to do that as a last resort kind of thing.
