Dakota #10

Went to one of the biggest gun stores around this week end.
Overall it was a disappointment, but they did have a Dakota #10 single shot in .257 Roberts.

I always wanted to examine one.
It is indeed a work of art.

The store had $7900 on it.


I will have to say it is a pretty majestic rifle.

I was good . I only bought two pounds of Varget,and a can of EEZOX

Their prices on used guns were about like new, so it wasn't hard to resist.
They did have two Ruger #1's in .375 Ruger.

Great caliber but where on earth would you find brass.

WOW ! Once upon a time, I ordered/bought a new .257 Dakota Model 10 for it's MSRP of $3500 !


Although it was definitely a gorgeous rifle, I ended up selling it to the dentist who'd been begging me to sell it to him.

Brass is available. I have a .257 Roberts in a Ruger #1 and it is a tack driver. Maybe the last rifle I would part with.
