I got this pic from a post from another member, mongoose33 (http://castboolits.gunloads.com/member.php?37489-mongoose33)

this is his reject bucket, and I also do the same, but I also separate into two different groups of rejects. Plain lead (without lube) and PC'd ones go in a separate bucket from the rejects with lube in the groves. I do this to re-use the lube to flux my pot as I'm casting. When I seen this pic, got me to wondering if PC might work for fluxing my pot. On a normal weekend, I'd just head out to the garage and warm up a pot of lead and try it out. Unfortunately I damaged myself at work first of the week and won't be in the garage for a week or two more. Besides, you guys have bin at this way longer than me. Anybody already tried this ?

PC will not work as flux .. it will float to the top at a plastic flattened jacket and be skimmed off

hey ask away .. if you don't know you don't know.

I would even be shooting cast bullets if I had not asked a lot of questions here getting started
now I'm a vendor here.

Use powder coating for what is was engineered for........COATING THINGS.

It will NOT work as a flux or reducer as said above. Like Ivory soap......it floats!

Get some beeswax for your casting pot. Best there is for reducing Sn back in.

Use pine sawdust in your re-melting pot 3X for fluxing crud out.
