Hi Folks--

My first post here. Traditionally I have bought my cast bullets and recently started to cast my own bullets. I am trying to identify a mold manufacturer from a bullet that I purchase from a production level bullet caster. I have ask him who design the bullet that is the subject of this post and had no idea where he purchased the mold or who manufactured the mold. I have been using the bullets in a modern H&R Springfield Trapdoor and are very accurate. The bullet in question weigh 466 grains, are sized to .456 diameter. The length of the bullet is 1.266 and is hollow based. I have attached several pictures for your reference. Does anyone knows who manufactured the mold for this bullet.

Thanks

Lee makes a 405 hollow base mold....don't have my lyman book in close proximity right now but I'm wondering if it isn't a older lyman mold?

My Lee 405 grain hollow base casts at 1.085, so not it.

Look at Accurate Molds. If it's not there send a couple to Tom and he'll make you a mold just like it in the size and weight you want in your alloy.

Well, he won't make Roundnose or Hollow Base...

a little flat on the nose wouldn't hurt anything.
have him make it a nose pour and get the hollow base done by Erick.
