OK I sort of lucked into a guy that gives me WW's ...and the price is a beer now and then
But the down side is 2/3 of them are Zinc and over 1/2 of the other 1/3 are steel ...Oh well the price is good
I have made a bunch of 6 oz duck decoy weights ...but I only need so many of them
So I got to thinking of making a mold to cast some Zinc bullets for the AK
I will start with a single cavity mold and see how my skills are and make a 4 cavity mold when I get a load worked up
I want to make it a sort of knock off of the Lee molds they sell
But a plain base and a small flat point for a first try
I have made a few molds for lead bullets
But I don't know what dia. to make the ID of the cavity to drop a .313 bullet out of Zinc
No grease groves , I will powder coat them .....as I like the way that works
So what dia. should I make the ID of the cavity to drop a as cast bullet of .313 ?
As I plan on shooting them as cast ....and just powder coated
