I had built a .22 LR barrel and the reamer came in yesterday. After that was done I had dykemed the barrel and noticed the firing pin was contacting the barrel.
As many times as I measured the factory TC barrels I have I couldn't see where I had made a mistake. So I put a spent case in the barrel and switched it over to centerfire and it was perfectly centered.
So this thread was asking for a photo of the chamber end of a factory barrel. I was texted a photo and could see that TC notched the barrel to clear the firing pin. After a few seconds I realized they likely did this so it worked with LR and mag diameter rimfires.

The firing pins should be retracted by a small spring on the firing pin. These get gunked up and have to be cleaned. There is a screw in the frame in front of the hammer that holds the breech block in. could this be your problem?
