Does anyone have any experience with the new 1860 rifle now being manufactured by Henry Repeating Arms? They are pretty pricey at $2300, but look very nice. I had a chance to handle one today and although I am a dyed in the wool old school levergun collector, I thought this new rifle was on a different level than their others (not knocking their rifles, just that this one was extra in every way). The shop was way below the retail also. Thanks, 021

Is it chambered for 44 Rimfire?

No, 44-40. Now if it was true to original....well, you couldn't get any 44 rimfire anyway.

Are they producing these or putting their name on an Italian clone?

Have had one for about a year. Really like it. Fit and finish is outstanding. Shoots great. Have no problem hitting the 400 yard Buffalo at the range.

What's the bore diameter? .427 or .429? I'm betting the latter, but you need to know if you want to shoot cast.

Henry Repeating Arms Co. is not an importer. They build all their guns right here in the USA. They have plants in Bayonne, New Jersey and Rice Lake, Wisconsin. The company Motto is "Made in America, or Not made at all". They also use all American material.
