great past time ive done it for years now...mausers are cheap to purchase but by the time your done...you can buy a cheap rack gun for less. i do it cause i like to...not for money or the like..each year i try to build two hunting rifles and maybe a beater truck gun. that way i hunt with a new gun every year..they make great hunting rifles. vz-24 is my fav action..but i do use others. i have alot of diff barrels i use..for hunting adams and bennett are a cheap but good shooter...a few that i make nicer i use shilen or douglas..scopes i like bushnells..3x9...not much up here in vermont you need more for. i replace the triggers, put a rem style in with safety..3 lb pull..its a real fun past time..
