We would like to hear updates so we how how to pray about things or if the situation is resolved, we want to know.
Remember God answers prayers three ways;
#1 He says no, not my will
#2 He says yes, that is in my will for this situation
#3 He says now is not the time, but i will in my time.
prayer is a petition for help and an avenue for God to work through. He is faithful to keep His promises to answer prayer. David in the Psalms taught Faith, Prayer and leaving the problem in the Lord's hands

Jim is right , that's why the prayer need list in the prayer group thread must be updated every 10 days by the person requesting to keep it active . All you have to do to revive the request thread you started is to post that prayer is still needed . Hopefully you would include an update on the situation being prayed for .

Totally agree on updates.

I also totally believe in the power of prayer.

Last I think I would add a #4 to PreacherJim's excellent post.
