Hello; I've been looking and thinking about swaging for a long time. Well I came across this in a pawn shop along with a Herter's 9 ton press. The press was lacking a pivot pin, but more on that later. The die is marked 224 - C no other marks, and no other dies in the pawn shop.162375 162376 The 2 pins on the right both fit inside the die body from the top under the knockout punch they are .205 dia. one appears to have a semi-spherical tip? and the other one is hollow, .125 at the flanged end, and on the other end this punch has a tapered cavity, and a .040 hole in the tip?
When I pushed a small lead ball into the die, it is indeed .224 dia. So all I got is what you see, a long way off from doing anything, but it has perked up my interest a lot. Information I beg from all those much wiser than me.
