Been so long since I shot mine I can't remember. I think I still have some Sierra 300s with 4227 loaded up. Never shot it enough to really figure a consistant load cause I had trouble bending grip bolts on the Contender with a 14" barrel. Moved to the rubber grip and still had problems.

What bolts do exactly mean?...

I don't know that I have ever heard of that happening...

Thanks...BCB

20 or so years ago I had a DW 7445 and a mold that dropped a 350gr boolit. I loaded it over large quantities of WW680, and AA1680 when WW680 became unobtanium. I still have one of those cigar sized loaded cartridges around here somewhere.

Just picked up a Dan Wesson 445 last year, have been shooting a 310gr cast GC, need to work on some load development with this and a 265gr Keith GC, best I could get so for is a 5" group at 50 yards off hand, but started with max loads of 1680 and need to harden up my cast some more.
even at 1600 fps it was still pleasant to shoot.
