I'm down to my last 100 of these bullets, I got them in bulk back in 1998 and haven't seen any since (the original box fell apart). They don't look like any of the lead bullets currently sold by Hornady, has anybody ever seen or used these before? I wish I had more, they shoot great in my Winchester/Miroku 73 Sporting Rifle.

I'll have to look for a substitute, they shoot great over Trail Boss! Looks like Desperado Cowboy Bullets has something similar. Too early to get a mold...

Ten shots at 30 yards.

Hornady makes a 140 gr lead FP cowboy bullet like that.

Yep! Should have bought some yesterday while I was at 3rd Generation Supply! Forgot to buy some when I saw they had VihtaVuori N-320 for sale...

You know, the rifle I picked up doesn't look like the one on the Winchester site. Mine has a lock for the lever and the lever is less curved.

Nice looking rifle!

I never saw that design of Hornady swaged boolit before. I think that they still make a round nose and SWC designs that are swaged.

Speer also makes a design that might work as well as the Hornady boolits you are looking for.

Well, I think I've found a good substitute for my dwindling supply of "Mystery Bullets". The 158 gr. FN from Desperado Cowboy Bullets is pretty close.

Looks like a great design. Liking the crimp groove.

They weren't quite as accurate as the swaged bullets (with the same powder charge). But I probably need to make some load adjustments too. Plan to try some Hornady 140 gr. Cowboy Bullets next!
