35 boxes came in, 45 people were on the waiting list. Oh, well - I'd rather have brass anyway.

what are the odds of people wanting a GC version of a 32 boolit for the 327 magnum?

Thus far I've never purchased a mould for a caliber I don't have.

This one could make me change my ways. .357 mag brass is in very short supply at the moment. I would like to see .327 brass available before making the commitment.

I got an idea already drawn up for a 135gr GC boolit.

Just need a few particular dimensions.

Lyman 311576 on fleabay right now (ends in less than an hour)! There's also a 311316 (even better) on evilbay, looks like a 115 gr. soupcan (good boolit). Both gas checks.

Lyman also did #313631, a 100 grain SWC/GC. They weren't made for very long, but I ran into one a few years back. Don't even ask. Truth to tell, it isn't as good a shooter as the plain-base RCBS 98 SWC (but what is?), one of these days I'll find a load that the Model 16-4 dotes on with that casting.

If the 327 Federal takes off at all, I wouldn't be surprised to see Lyman re-start #313631 or #311316.

I had that 100 grain gas check mold and gave it away. Couldnt get it to shoot in anything.

Cast Bullet Engineering here in Australia make a .313 105 SWC GC mold that might be OK in the 327. Sure wish Marlin would make a lever in it!

I don't have a .327 but wouldn't be surprised if the RCBS 98 gr. SWC shoots great in it as it shoots fine with heavy charges in both .32 mag. & .32-20. Just a thought.

I shot my new Alan Harton custom Bisley Single Six 327 Federal yesterday with some pretty dang good success. My close friend Jeff Quinn of Gunblast was nice enough to send me 40 cases so I had some proper brass to work with. Using a 117 grain LBTstyle gas check on all the H110 I could get under the bullet lit by a CCI550 I got a 15/16" group at the 25 yards line. I should point out the indoor range is pretty dark and very difficult to see, so I think the load is potentially much more accurate...I cant wait to try it at 50 yards outdoors. This load does not even begin to stress this super strong Single Six in the 5 shot guise, my impression is that a 6 shot would be fine.

I forgot to mention the bullets I shot were sent to me by my pal Lloyd Smale. Let me tell you guys, he casts a very very sexy bullet! And its ACCURATE too! Thanx a million Lloyd. Now do me a favor and tell me what exactly that bullet is, we NEED a group buy on that one!

And, please, while you're answering felix, what are the bore and groove dimensions?

This round, and Harton's work impress me.

The barrel itself is a one in 16 twist douglas with a straight taper cut at 6 inches with a custom TLA style front sight and a Colt style crown. The lands and grooves should measure: bore dia= .304 and the groove dia=.311.5" but I have not slugged this bore. I can tell you it is accurate and shows no signs of leading. Harton also has a stainless blank that measures very close to the same.

Harton is not accepting any more jobs at this time, he wishes anyone who wants such a converson to wait 5 months as his backlog is getting up there. I will say this, such work is worth the wait.

those are out of a mold i borrow from Al. Its a lbt that has a 115 plain base and a 120 gascheck in it. I really like the gas check version of that bullets. Another real good one is the 120swcgc ballisticast mold he has.

2 dogs, could you please measure the outside of your fired cases for me- just in front of the web and at the neck. The once fired brass that I have has expanded to about .341 just in front of the web-that doesn't look right to me.:( Also could you give me some idea of the chamber dimension in those areas? Thank you!

D.H. The once fired brass I got had been fired in something with sloppy chambers too. I pulled the rims off of the first two that I sized, they were so tight after sizing. I had the "right" shell holder, but a #10 RCBS - IIRC - worked, and the #21 didn't. My S&W chambers are .340" diameter FWIW.
