1, How many PSI do I need? I have found 5 and 10.
2, How many BTU,'s?

What quantity are you trying to melt?? A dutch oven full?? Takes a LOT of heat to melt lead in quantities. I'd go BIG!!
My smelter guy has a turkey fryer. Only smelts in the summer. Fighting the winter cold drains a propane tank.

With nearly double the output of a standard duty outdoor range, this model can boil water or heat up oil even faster, and its precision adjustable 30 PSI liquid propane regulator with 36" braided stainless steel hose enables greater control over the flame for flexibility.

Its large, sturdy top can accommodate stockpots or pans up to 17" in diameter. For safety, the overall height of this heavy duty outdoor patio range is just 9 3/4", and it utilizes a double leg design and welded steel frame with a built-in hose guard for added stability and safety.

Academy sports picked up one that is 58k btu. Worked fine for a 7 quart Dutch oven overflowing with coww. Took about 15m to melt down. Did 120lbs of them (5 gal bucket full) in three batches.

The turkey fryer that I have has a burner that is in the 54,000 BTU range. I do not remember the PSI of the regulator, but it is whatever came with the fryer.

It will melt a pot full of wheel weights in about 20-25 minutes on a cold winter day.

More important than higher BTU's is to make sure the support can hold the weight, lead weighs in the neighborhood of 23 pounds per quart. You do not want a gallon or two of liquid lead spilling.

10 quart dutch oven so I use a 175,000 BTU burner with a 10 psi regulator. I use a needle valve for flame control and I heat slow so it's never at a roar. It takes me 25-30 minutes to be ready to ladle 150 lbs of ingots. I got enough muffin tins so I can pour the whole 150 lbs without having to empty any during the pour.

Do you have natural gas at your house? If so, using one of the "banjo type" burners will make for cheaper smelting. They can be easily adapted for natural gas. You don't need the regulator since natural gas is such a low pressure.

I believe this is the one I have been looking at on Amazon. Different names, but look the same, and specs appear to be about the same. Amazon has 2 models. KAB4 and KAB6. One made with 3/8 bar and one made with 1/2 inch bar. They are by Bayou Classic. Same specs except for the bar size. $77 and $97 respectively. I'm thinking the 1/2 bar so it could do double duty, smelting with my small pot and cooking using my 20 gallon stew pot. Can you tell me the bar size on this one? The price is right!

I too was looking at the Bayou KAB6, the heavy duty unit, but for the $$$ could not pass up this deal with free shipping. I will look at the support diameter later today and report back. It is stout and worth every penny. May be closer to the KAB4. Will check.
