Just picked up a nice Bersa Series 95 .380 for a good price. Only problem is the rear sight blade is missing! The spring and adjusting screw are there but the blade is gone.
The Series 95 uses the same adjustable rear sight blade as the Thunder .380.

Called Bersa USA to find they are out of stock and with all the commotion in the Argentine government at the moment there will be no shipments for a while....

So, if someone has a Series 95 or Thunder .380 and could give me dimensions of the sight blade I could fab my own. I would really appreciate it. It would save a lot of trial and error making one from scratch with no pattern....

Thanks,
John

Here is what the rear sight blade looks like,

The thin part with the white dots, not the rear sight holder with the screw.

I think you may be in for a bit of old tyme gun smithying. You will need some needle files, a caliper or Micrometer a vice, a pair of pliers and perhaps a grinder. Carefully measure the width of the slot to determine the thickness of the material you are going to need to make your replacement blade. The closer you can match this, with out going more than .005 under, the less you will have remove to fit the slot.
however, I think you might be better served to buy a similar sight part and modify it to fit. A quick look at Brownells discovered a Ruger blade that looks as though it might be made to fit. http://www.brownells.com/userdocs/skus/t_780020001_2.jpg (http://www.brownells.com/handgun-parts/sights/rear-sights/sight-blade-rear-high-white-outline-prod12246.aspx)780-020-001WB

I've seen the Ruger sight blade before and the bottom inverted V is off center and not symmetrical.
I'm sure I could scratch one together but having some dimensions would really help.
This next week I'll have time to work on it.
