I am exploring cast bolts for my CZ 527 22 hornet. The rifle has a 1 in 16 twist .223 bore barrel that shoots sub quarter sized 100 yd/10 shot groups with Sierra .223 Hornet 40 gr pills and more nickel sized groups with .224 35 gr V-maxs' with the insert snipped off (toenail clipper) and filed flat to allow best seating depth using Lil'Gun.
A generous contributor is supplying a sample of the NOE 37 gr GC cast sized to .225 and a powder recommendation for my initial testing. I don't find this bullet listed in the Lyman Cast Bullet No 4 book.
I am looking for really good accuracy for casual shooting, maybe a few squirrels and such.
Anyone loading this bullet in a hornet?
Any and all info re: your favorite loads would be much appreciated!
