been reading up on boolits for the 300blackout. seems like a good number of people are liking the lee 309-230. I got the mold in Friday. cleaned it on sunday (worked all weekend).
in the past I followed what someone told me to do at one time, boil the mold in soupy water. after the last mold I got I did that with I learned to use the right pan. these time I tried something new. I soaked my mold in about 150 degree tap water. scrubbed with a stiff brush then rinsed. let it dry then used 91% rubbing alcohol. saw burrs coming off the mold with very little effect.
did a test run to see how things would drop out, either the boolits dropped out on there own of just a small shake to get them to come loose.

224 to 226gr (little lighter the listed, added some pure lead to the alloy)
really pleased with the results. only 5 weight rejects (222gr) avg of 2gr difference in weight.
