Okay, so the wind wasn't howling this morning, of course there's almost no such thing as No-Wind here, but it was tolerable.
Recap on the gun: I installed the lightest (9#) trigger return spring from the Wolf spring kit. I polished hammer spring strut, and paid particular attention to the rounded end. I have not changed the hammer spring, though the kit contains additional hammer springs. .003 shims were installed on either side of the hammer. The hammer is now centered in the frame.
The trigger is smoothing up with use.
It's a joy to shoot double action. The double action feeling is right in your hand, as it should be.
The cylinder is a very tight fit in this gun. Any residue Under the extractor star is an issue. I had to wipe it with a brown, paper towel every few cylinders.
I may change the hammer spring before the next trip to the range.
15 yard, off-hand target (bless my shaky, old hands) :)

What was real world price on yours? I'd call ruger on the tight head space I've never had a double action 22 pistol but I know I could shoot 1000s of rounds with out a hickup through my single 6.

This one was @ the LGS. He want $750.00 + tax. I went back after researching GB closed auctions. I made a one-time offer of $675.00 OTD. He took it.

I have a S&W 317 (Air Lite - 8 shot) that needs to be cleaned under the ejector after about 300 hundred rounds. My 18's and 17 do not require this attention.

My 18 and 17 do not require this attention either, nor does my Ruger SP101 8-shot. I read somewhere of another shooter reporting his GP100 10-shot, had a very tight cylinder gap, and needed the extractor star kept clean too.

Rustic Range target?! That range closed several years ago. Glad someone else saved a few targets. Sure was a nice range. Thanks for the report. Legacy Arms in Lubbock had one of those GPs. I may have to go see if they still have it. Unless you got yours there:bigsmyl2:.

Im still waiting for mine to show up i swapped my single seven for it. I hope it shoots as good as yours. Rustic Range had one of the best sporting clays ranges I've ever been to we used to go down there twice a year to shoot on thier sporting clays range. I wish we still could, that was fun.

Very cool and nice shooting. This would be interesting in 17 hmr. My next Ruger is a 5.5 inch stainless super blackhawk.

If someone wants one, I suggest they jump on it ASAP.

Rugers usual SOP is to make a certain amount of a model, then switch the line to make something else. When the first model runs low, they get impossible to find for awhile, until another run is made.

Yes, rustic was a nice range. Dang shame he sold out, and it closed up.

I am GRATEFUL they are using the old style grip instead of the Hogue. Finger grooves = ARGH! PTOOIE!!

Redundant to my needs, but I'm very pleased to see Ruger doing all-steel .22LR GP-100's and SP-101's. The beer can and plastic craze is wearin' thin with me. . .

Can't wait to see mine. It is sitting in my LGS waiting for me to get there on Friday. CDNN had them on sale last week for $599.99 +$19.74 shipping. So grand total out the door $644.73
