Bought a new Ruger 9E

I couldn't resist at $319.99! Comes in a cardboard box with 1 17 Rd magazine. Gun made in USA. I stripped it down and got rid of assembly lube. Looks great! Trigger a bit stiff, but they break in. No loaded chamber indicator like the SR9. Fixed sights, which I prefer. It's going to be shooting my cast 356402 sized at 357 over 3.8 gr of bullseye. Heck, if it runs great, will be my truck gun. Anybody else shooting one?

I was really tempted by a CDNN flyer the other day. Same price.

Ran 100 cast through it yesterday without a hitch. Cleaned up easily with no leading. Going at it again today. Only thing I would replace is the captured plastic guide rod assembly with a stainless one. Now for some more 17 Rd mags!

Fired another 100 rds today. No malfunctions. Cleaned bore with Hoppes semi-auto solvent. No leading. Just ordered a 2 pack of 17rd mags at Rugers site. 20% off when you register the gun. This gun will be my go to for SHTF for sure.
