Boy did it warm up today. Last Sat. it was 7° below O and today it's up to 57°. The wind is wailing, but it sure was a nice day for shooting. I sighted the Big Boy Steel in at 50yrds. to start. Shot some Lee 255rf over 6.5 grns. of Bullseye and some Lee 252 swc over 10 grns. of A#5. The 255s with Bullseye shot 1 1/2" groups and the 252s about 3" I think I'll up the charges for next time out.
At 75 yrds. I tweeked the scope a little more and it shot about the same, only the 252 swcs grouped a little tighter at 2".
Next I tried some Lee .452-c300 rfs. One with 7.1 grns. of A#5. Best group was 4". The other load was 7.1 grns. of BE-86. That one did a little better at just over 3"
Over all I went through 150 rnds. I just run a couple patches down the bore and put the light to it and had no leading.Had a great day out back on my range.
