Nice. Now you got me thinking this Lee bullet feeder will work on any press. Good job. No more bit fingers.

But how long does it take to load the tubes?

Csink2, that's great !!! I have been thinking of trying to mount the Lee case feeder to my Dillon 550, you inspired me to give it a try ! It worked great on my old Load Master - gotta be a way to rig it.

acoop101 - I remember it didn't take more than 10-15 seconds to fill the 4 tubes with cases, as I remember, ~15 45acp cases per tube, so 60 cases.

Since it does not mater how the bullets go in I bet it didnt take long at all.

acoop101, I personally am not a fan of the tubes. I just used them for demonstration. I am in the process of building another collater for 9mm to use with this project. Then I can just dump them in and go!

Nice idea for powder coated bullets but what do you do when it comes time to size and lubricate cast bullets? Save your money and buy a used Star or new magma and use your collator in conjunction with a bullet feeder option for the Star/Magma and you will never turn back.

I only use coated bullets. I don't mess with the lube. Just working within my budget....as far as the equipment goes :)

BINGO!

NO conventional lubed bullets here, anymore, either!

If you are going to go that far you need to and the ram for full automated set up. Oh and dont for get that rubber band. Looks good.

Many years ago I had a Lee bullet feeder. I actually made it through several hundred with it working right before it started spitting bullets. Back then they said you needed to boil the fingers every now and then to keep them working...I gave up on them for better devices.

On my sizers I just used a hunk of plastic with a hole in it to feed bullets into the die. Even cheaper and never looses a single bullet.

Love threads like these that show out of the box ideas and solutions using common off the shelf products.

...And JMorris, big fan of your modding skills.

I fall into basically the same camp as Windwalker 45acp:

I find inspiration and design ideas/concepts from guys like JMorris and admire real world off the shelf solutions from guys like Csink2!!

Myself being somewhere between the two in-terms of equipment, skill and engineering prowess.

From the perspective of the reloader whose bench is in the closet or laundry room Csink2's idea is available and achievable and Jmorris's solution is to be dreamed about for someday! Love them both!!

Money always seems to be my #1 limitation #2 being time! :)

I bought one of these feeders several years back with the intention of adapting it to my C&H Auto Champ. Sold the Auto Champ to Seagiant and the feeder is still in it's box.

Might have another look at it now.
