I think these photos tell it all. I couldn't be more pleased.
This mold ( Lyman 40043 ) cast a solid bullet that weighed 180 grs.prior to sending it to Buckshot for HP'ing. These HP's now weigh 165 grs. The pin opening is large enough to offer some good expansion. The end of the HP pin goes to the 1st crimp groove in depth.

I'll be shooting these in the .40 S & W

As cast dia is .402 "

Thanks,
Ben

Ben,

165 grains is a great weight for the 40 S&W. What .40 are you loading for? How does the 40043 feed?

I don't own a .40 but I'm loading for a friend with a Glock 22 with a custom Wilson barrel and a Glock 27 with a custom Bar-Sto barrel. No lead bullet should go into a Glock factory barrel.

He also has a .40 Ruger carbine that likes this bullet.

Good looking castings and good looking work by Buckshot. Now you need a .38-40 to try them in instead of those little .40's. Maybe a 10mm Delta Elite but a Glock? Yuck!
