I just got back from the range with my Interarms Rossi 16" '92 SRC. This is a very early Rossi, near as I can tell in the early 80's maybe late 70's. Wonderful quality gun.
I shoot H&G #39 158gr RN 38 specials with 4.0 gr WW231 sized 358 with Magma red lube. I shot maybe 200 rounds. What a treat! Who needs to shoot 357's?
Very accurate and little recoil. I just wish it didn't throw the brass so far.

Replace the ejection spring with one of these and they will drop at your feet. The price shown is for a pack of 6, so you can even give some away if you're feeling magnanimous. http://www.amazon.com/Century-Spring-C-530-Compression-display/dp/B002SAMA1W

You shooting reloads in it? I'm looking at making some 357 loads for a marlin carbine.

The rossi i have now has only seen lead reloads from birth. Probably ate 5000 in the last 2 years.

Nice! What mold are you using? Currently the only 38/357 mold I have is the Lee 358-158-swc. I'm hoping to be able to use that, it works great for my Rossi revolver.

I use the TL version, powdercoated. Sized .358, they shoot great in front of 6 grains of Unique. Mine's a stainless octagon barrel.

Have had a JM stamped 336 for a bit and instantly fell in love with lever guns. Just got a Rossi 92 16" SS .38/.357 and can't put the darn thing down. I put the Palo Alto spring kit in and it is smooth as butter. Nice! Thinking and a .44 this year. Anyway enjoy the Rossi they are great guns!

I bought my very first Rossi a couple of months ago. 45 Colt, SS with a 20 inch round barrel. My girlfriend likes it so much I'm gonna have to buy her one.

Question on the current Rossi 92. Are the barrel dovetails for sights the standard 3/8"? I'm thinking about getting one to save wear on my JM 1894.

I have had a 20" octagon barrel .44 for a couple years. It's a great shooter, especially with specials. Just yesterday Iasked my FFL (also happens to be my Dad [emoji1]) to order me a 16" stainless .357.

Looked into it myself to replace the rear sight.

"Word on the street" is that its not a 3/8th dovetail, but closer to a 9mm cut. Some have reported filing down the dovetail to squeeze it in the rossi cut.

I have a 16" Stainless in 38/357 with a Skinner, instructions were to open the dovetail cut on the barrel. Mission was accomplished and I'm a happy camper with the results. Mine has about 500 down the tube, mostly cast LEE 158 Grain SWC unsized over 5.0 grains of Unique, with some Factory PMC 158 Grain JHP's. Has slicked up pretty well with just shooting and some dry levering action.

I hear ya. I want an R92 in .45 Colt with the 24" octagonal barrel so bad I can't stand it! Money's just been too damn tight and the wife ain't budging. And I don't want to sell anything to raise the cash! It's a conundrum. Good thing nobody stocks them around here, so I don't have to look at them. All I see is Henry Henry Henry, and I don't want no dang Henry.

I've got a blue Rossi '92 in 357 with 24" octogon bbl that I love. Loads and shoots almost anything I stuff in it. Gonna have to get me that ejector spring though. It sends the brass into the next county.

oh man I forgot how comical the original ejector spring was. flung brass all over the place!

Really like the Rossi 92 in Stainless 357.

I bought mine in .44 mag when Big 5 had them on sale for $400. They had the .357 at the time but I didn't have the money for both.
Now they are hard to get. I did find one at a store when I went and picked up a Winchester model 12 in 20 gauge for my father in laws birthday but they wanted $650 for it!
I love my .44 and figure I will eventually find an affordable one in .357.

Just out of curiosity how are the .357 20" sold in America today? Here we can get only .38 or 44-40 (not sold here anymore due to lack of market share). I shot a SS some months ago and hated it. It has the stupid safety and it has a removable magazine tube like some .22s. I was stupid enough to let an old stock NIB Rossi only that was offered to me... I had the money but thought nah not now, have to fix the car... I still kick myself for that...
