NRA is running a special promotion for the Endowment Membership upgrade of $200 for Life Members. The price is normally $1,000 and increasing March 1st.

I just spent 30 minutes on their website trying to get a description of the membership. Somehow, I can not find it.

What extra benefits do I receive?

Or this just a bragging rights title saying "I dug deeper than Life Members and gave more money to the NRA!" ?

Even my email solicitation does not explain.

I don't want to call them and get a sales pitch and follow up phone calls.

Can anyone explain?

Yelp, Bragging rights. I got a certificate, a patch and a nice gym bag.
I had not given a lot to the NRA over the last few years and thought this was the way to do it.

I got the plaque and asked them to keep the other goodies. I gave the money because I think it is a good cause. That was a few years ago. I might take their deal on the patron membership tho.

I have been an Endowment Member for some years now... I don't remember getting much.. maybe a little knife.. I don't think I got but one sticker for my vehicle. I have been thinking about bumping up to the next level... but I have a bunch of insurance to pay so I will have to see... makes me feel a little better if I can...They can keep the trinkets... would like to have another sticker though....

I went through the steps long ago when they offered "deals" for higher levels of membership. I always took them..... I've been a benefactor member for several years now. I looked at it as a way to give back to the NRA for all the great programs, and lobbying done on our behalf. I'm happy to have done so

I don't recall recieving anything for it, which didn't bother me. Them hounding me about donations and upgrades afterward did.

Started off in 1967 as Junior member, then Annual my dad got me a Life membership 24 years ago then I upgraded to Endowment,Patron,Benefactor. Also Life member of GOA. These are the people that are helping to slow down the decline of all our rights. So support them if you can.

A link would help in upgrading to Endowment.

nra2016.org

This is as close as an iPad gets to links.

The "special website", not to be found on the main one.

When I went from Life to Endowment there was a payment plan. IIRC it was $225.00 at $25.00 per month. That was about 2 years ago. You did not need the entire payment at once.

Has the offer expired? I've looked everywhere I can think of and find nothing about a $200 Endowment upgrade.

Take advantage NOW.

They are offering an installment plan.

$25.00 per month and when the plan is paid off you will get your bragging rights (endowment etc) card in the mail.

The offer ends soon so you should phone in soon.

Life membership can be done the same way.

I upgraded to Patron quite a while ago. I got a nifty statue of a Minuteman. It does look nice on the fireplace mantle. I'd upgrade again if I had not just bought my wife a lifetime membership. I didn't know about the $500 lifetime deal they had going and gave them $1000 but she is getting a leather jacket to match the one I got when I went with a Life in the first place.

I can't find the deal you guys are talking about. The NRA is like this I have found. Sometimes they run a deal on membership or upgrade but different links give different prices for them.

Go to nra2016.org then log in. When I do I go directly to the Endowment upgrade for $200. Thinking of upgrading my son and I.

Benefactor here. The NRA begs for money because it is expensive to try and fight against numerous multibillionaires both individual and PAC's. They have to keep a staff of attorneys-they ain't cheap-and other staff to keep all of their programs running. It takes money and the only way they get the funds to continue is through donations. I know that you get lots of mailings asking for more, it's just requests for help, our one time donation runs out quickly. If they bother you, call them and ask to be taken off of the mailing list, if it is just a nuisance or you just don't have extra money, just drop'em in the trash along with all the other ads that come in the mail. The other organizations help but you didn't hear Hillary declaring war on the GOA or NAGR or any grassroots organization, she and her ilk just don't fear them.

Just one old fart's opinion
