Good luck! My knee surgery was last monday and its doing good. I'm going nuts, watched 20 movies and read a bunch of books. Went outside and walked around my boat, started to climb the ladder but stopped. Wanted to load some ammo but still a bit foggy from pain meds, so I'll wait.

3 weeks sitting sounds like a real challenge.

haven't shoveled my driveway in 10 years. My neighbors got a good sized tractor and it has a blower attachment and he does my driveway everytime theres even an inch of snow. My old snowblower proably has 2 hours run time in the last 10 years.

yup that's going to be the hardest thing. I can take lots of pain but not much boredom. I was out sizing 9mm bullets this morning and about had a tear in my eye when I shut the heat off in the loading room.

Yesterday I went out and got a bunch of my paperpatch bullets and wrapped on paper for hours. Night stand has pyramids of them drying.

Just don't trust myself to pay attention well enough to measure powder, did size some brass with the hand press. Wife was wondering how I got spent primers in the bed.

Will pray for your speedy recovery. I agree about the boredom: worse than pain.

Good Luck and hopes for a speedy recovery. Gather up all of your brass that needs prepped and get it to an easier place to reach. Get a hand priming tool and get a bunch of cases ready to load. Start to like the cooking shows and dress shows on tv! You can get through this! Thinking about you.

Lloyd I want to add my wishes to the others and wish for a total and complete recovery. I am praying that the surgery team will all be sharp and that thing will go perfect for you. My advice to you is to do exactly as the doctor and those in therapy tell you. It will pay big dividends by promoting a faster recovery and better use of your ankle.

Dont hear about ankle replacements much. I have been through a hip and knee with my spouse. Boredom... I hate it. But dont do anything dumb before the rehab starts! You'll have plenty of cussing opportunities then.

You are in my prayers Lloyd. May God bless you and keep you

well ive been out for a couple days now. This ankle replacement has made back surgery seem like a walk in the park. Lots of pain and the crutches and walkers just don't work for this old fart as well as they did when I was 20. Then my wife had the knee walker put together wrong and when I got on it the first time I went right to the floor and knocked my foot real good and that's not helping. I guess I cant complain though. Ive got loved ones around me that will do anything for me and what more could a guy ask for. Biggest problem right now is my younger sister called yesterday and said she has cancer. She has some tumors in her hip and there testing her today to see how far it has spread. What a kick in the teeth for her. She was the only kid in the family that didn't smoke or drink or raise hell. Should have been me!!!!!!

Even then avoid any shock for a while.

Good to hear you're in good spirits, Lloyd. When you're facing challenges like this, one's spirits count for a lot more than we realize when pain is involved. As to your sister's diagnosis, I'm very sorry to hear it. We all have an appointed time to go, but cancer is no longer a checkout notice any more. Many survive it to go on and live good, long lives, and mean a lot to the folks they know. Prayers up for you both, and don't let the pain, or the fear of your sis's news keep your outlook from being bright.

Comfort him and his family and guide them through the long process of healing. Father, I have a special request for Lloyds younger sister. Father she has cancer. Please guide her physicians that will treat her. Please guide the health specialists that will attend to her other needs. Father please remove any fear and allow her to face this ordeal with the assurance that You are in charge and that You can heal her. Father, I recognize that all is possible through You so please wrap your loving arms around his sister and carry her through her challenge! Amen....Paul

Kind of **** for both of us. I took a digger and smashed my casted foot. LOTS of pain but luckly all the ankle mechanics were still in place so I didn't need surgery again. Just ALOT of pain med. Feeling better this morning though. lots of the swelling is down

Sister isn't so lucky. She had a pet scan (spelling) and it showed 4 spots of cancer on her spine. Its a real rare cancer that is considered a uterus cancer. She had precancer leasions about 3 years ago in her uterus so they took it out entirely and told here its extreamly rare for this type of cancer to spread out of the unterus. Well shes the rare case. They are doing surgery on Monday then kemo and radiation. they hope to get it all but the doctor warned her that once this type of cancer spreads its one that likely can pop up somewhere else and is hard to stop. Something about the cancer cells being ALOT smaller then normal cancer and harder to detect. So shes going through a tough time. So PLEASE if you have a spare minute during your day say a prayer for her. Shes a good person. Much better then the other 5 kids in the family were. Only one that never drank or smoked or did drugs. She was a goody two shoes if there every was one and lives for her kids and grandkids. Not just because she my sister but I will say they don't make people much better then her.
