I bought the gun from a friend for really cheap, $100. A working pistol for that price is hard to pass up. But if I was in the market to sell this gun to buy something else what could I reasonably expect to sell it for?

Everything matches that I can tell, not stamped 'property US govt'. The lanyard is gone. No original grips. A friend of ours duracoated the gun, other than that does not look like it has been refinished. 185xxx serial #. Works and shoots fine.

Kind of a tough question. No U.S. Property markings makes it a post WW I production. The Duracoat removes it from the collector class to the shooter class. Bearing in mind that it "works and shoots fine", and assuming good bore and cylinder I'm thinking $350-$450.

Having several of these I would have to agree with Gebirgsjager. These are fairly common and cheap to buy unless they are pristine original US Property stamped. I have one that's completely reblued high gloss black and the assessed value was only about $600 where my original condition was over $1200 despite holster wear.

If you can get $350 or better your probably lucky.

Three key things.

1. Condition
2. Condition
3. Condition.

Some are NOT worth $100, many are worth $400-700 or so.

Funny when I asked about the value when I bought it, $100 was an incredible deal, it was worth near $400 in parts.
