I have an 8 # jug of this powder and it was advertised as 4895 minus 10% when I bought it. I tried that and got pressure signs at lowest loads, so I went to15% down.

That shows signs, some times. I did find a good load for the 30-30 with 311291 at 18 gr. Chrony is broke but that has a crack to it.

Tried some loads for 22-250 with J-word bullets at 26-29.5 gr and it looks like I need 1/2 gr more for the best load.

Hummmmm ??????? thats just where IMR 4198 should be for that bullet.

18 Gr in 30-30 is where it should be for 4198.

Does anybody else have/had any of this stuff and what did you find??

Thanks,

CMR100, Sold as Canadian Miltary Rilfe powder, I got a jug about 5 years ago of it, Great powder, Had some very loads in 7.5 Swiss and 30-06. I started 5 % less then 4895 and worked from there, Wished I had more of it. Good powder.
