Well I've a suppressor coming... Can't say soon, probably won't get the tax stamp till May or June. At any rate I bought a threaded barrel from Lone Wolf and have shot a few rounds thru the glock 17 that it fits. Issues.... A bunch of issues with almost all of my cast bullets. I already seat pretty deep for both the oem glock barrel and my Walther PPQ. And size at .356 for both... The lone wolf barrel won't chamber hardly any. From the Lee 95gr to the 125gr and NOE 151
Arggghhhh it wouldn't be so bad but lone wolf advertises that these barrels work Great with cast lead bullets! Bull....... I'll be sending out to get "fixed".

That sucks, I've heard of people having problems like this. I load the Lee 358-125 rnfp sized to 0.357 and seated to 1.020... So they're really short. I've got the standard size glock 19 barrel. It feed my carry loads fine too.. Not sure how long they are but I believe they're pretty short as well.

I seat way short on several bullets. My Walther is tighter than the oem glock. But the lone wolf is even tighter. What is the kicker, is that they Know that their barrels are tight. And they will open up for a fee.... They blame on not full length sizing. Again BULL. I'd just as soon send to a member here..... I will buy someone else's barrel next time.

I only buy KKM for my glocks. That reminds me I have one to list up in 45. I had the same issue with my LW in 10mm.

I throat a good number of both those mfgr's barrels. They may claim cast friendly but their freebore is no bigger than most current 1911s at either .451" or .4515" either way they won't seat a .452" unless seated deep.

Yeah LWD 9mm throats are super short. I size my Lee 356120 TCs to .358, if any of the full diameter bullet is above the case it will jam the lands. Leaded awful at .356", slugged .3555 at the widest. I keep meaning to get it reamed.

I pulled it out a few minutes ago to take a look at it. My factory hp self defense ammo won't hardly plunk without catching on the throat.... The only thing that I have reloaded that works decent is some Barnes plated. None of my cast will.. Oh well. Off to Doug.

LW Barrels need to be opened up. Period. Even for mediocre range reliability. You should try the 10mm. Super tight.

Amazingly (to me at least) it really doesn't take much. And no way do you have to make them Glock loose. I brush and polishing compound chucked up in a drill has worked for me. Followed up with in and out strokes with a lighter polishing compound.

We have precision piloted reamers made specifically for throating. No other method outside of the live pilot fitted super snug will guarantee concentricity with the bore. ANY detectable wiggle in the reamer once the pilot is seated in the rifling is time to use a larger pilot.

This is a KKM barrel for a Glock 21, customer asked for a long throat to seat out long and use .45 Super load data with 300gr XTP boolits.. It doesn't matter for the sake of the photo that this is a KKM .45 barrel, the principle, AND the workmanship are the same for the 9mm, only the numbers are different.

Here's another one, This one is a Lone Wolf 10mm. Handloader109 I think I sent you this one in a PM as a KKM .45 Barrel but I had tagged the wrong photo..

Let us now how that goes. I've got my silencer coming too and thing about a LW barrel

Well it isn't just the throat.... The entire chamber is about. .002 smaller diameter than the oem glock. Can't be exact, as I was using a set of calipers, but almost none of my loads chamber and it isn't just throat. I think the throating will help, but I will still have to be careful to keep sized down. Now to be honest, the glock barrel is the easiest to load for as compared to my other 9mm guns. Guess it was made to shoot most anything put into it. But the lone wolf barrel is the tightest

As I stated, it won't take much. You don't need to take a full .001" out. Even less than .001" TOTAL ID is all I do, then polish, and reliability leaps.

My KKM does not need anything it takes big meatplants! If it did kkm would do it for me. They said pay the shipping. On my10mm LW barrle I paid a shop $20 bucks to do it. I wish that old timer was still a live.
