Are there any owners of these on the list who would be willing to comment. I'd like to know more about them, good or bad.

Thanks, Tom

You might have better luck on the IHMSA forum. They are used quite a bit in the production category.

I tried to join the IHMSA forum. Every attempt results in:

"You have provided an invalid answer to the question."

They don't say which question, and besides, all questions are answered correctly. I guess they just don't want any new members.

The IHMSA forum asks that question to root out spammers and trolls. Yes, we did have problems with that. It is designed to exclude those not familiar with the silhouette game. Think about how the question is posed, look at it from a different perspective. You should be able to figure it out.

I tried 200, 200 meters, 200M, 200 M, etc. What else is there?

That could be the correct answer if you were thinking of the longest distance in the big bore game. What about Smallbore or Field Pistol? What do all these different versions have in common?

Hint.....Think target shape.

The BF pistols are a love hate between the Specialty Pistol crowd.

I know pulling the barrels happens to be great fun...

If I recall correctly, the barrels are glued in.

Yes, from their old webpage.

We use a process of Zero Stress Barrel Mating. Our barrels are threaded to fit snuggly onto the actions without torquing. Then, they're sealed into place with an industrial LoctiteŽ. Finally, we don't stamp our markings into our guns, they're electronically etched. Stress-free barrels shoot better.

JSH, who posts on here, has at least one. You might send him a PM. I don't know how often or thoroughly he looks in.

A fellow who owns two BF Field Pistols sent me disassembly instructions. Now I see what BC means about changing barrels. The lock-work can be a challenge to take apart and reassemble. Of course, this has to be done in the course of changing the barrel. So, sorry if I misspoke earlier.

I have two. One a real early one two digit serial number. And a newer one made in the early 90's. I was looking for a different gun and ran across the first early one for cheap. I had tried the MOA and found it a bit busy for my liking.
Both of mine are very good shooters and they both seem to like cast bullets.

Had an early one. Broke the hammer. Parts are sitting in a box somewhere, since no silhouette ranges nearby. It shot very well when working. Like the MOA better

High standard 40, why don't you pm Tatume and give him the correct answer so he can join?
