It does not have a lot of class, but it was a prize in a pistol match.

Does anyone have a cast bullet load that really shoots well in it? So far, the only things I have gotten it to shoot well is Federal 110gr +P+ and Remington 125gr +P.

NuJudge,

Try this-

2.7 gr Trailboss/Lee 358 -158 RF/sized .358

I have a friend who got a Taurus 85, and was looking for something comfortable and accurate. I got this from the IMR online reloading guide. It really surprised me how well it shot, and no leading. I am not a big Taurus fan, but I might even get one of thse little guns.

I have an older Model 84 that shoots really well with a 158 SWC over 3.0 gr of Red Dot. That load also does well in a friends 85 and is a pleasure to shoot.

4.0gr unique with a 158gr LSWC is a nice reasonable load that shoots well for me. not a max load either. I've heard some guys going down to 3.7 or 3.8 but the 4.0 worked so well for me I just left it alone.

For a light plinker 2.7 bullseye and a 147 gr WC works well in mine. For something a bit more spicy try starting at 5 grains of unique with a 158 SWC and work your way up till you see pressure signs.

I agree with Runfiverun. 158 gr swc over Titegroup, loaded to recommendation on the powder can label.
