I have an original No 1 Remington RB that is missing the rotary extractor. Gunparts have none ; any other US parts supplyiers that would export to Australia?

Try S&S Firearms.

Try Womack's. Ken often has them.

Bad *** Wallace: Did you find an extractor for your Rollingblock rifle? I have an extra extractor
that I picked up in trade. It will have to be hand fitted to your rifle. PM me your address if you
can use it.

If no luck yet distant thunder is making a blank that needs fitted and is long for any caliber.

Were RB ever chambered for smaller target cartridges like 32/40?

I have an original 1885 Hiwall (made 1892) that I want to rebarrel to 40/70 SS, and the RB would be nice in a "classic cartridge".

Other than extractor I dont think 32-40 would be a big issue. You might contact Distant Thunder and see what they say thier bklank extractor is capable of being fit for.

#1 Rolling Blocks were chambered as small as .22 rimfire, with the sliding extractor. I have one in .22 Long in my collection.
