Well I made up a bunch of these this week the mold does great but as others already know it looks to be the exact length of my gp100 cylinder. I am thinking of getting a Noe 360-160wfn and letting the 429 go I like the wider meplate of the wfn for hunting purposes anyone using the Noe version to put a deer down let me know how well they worked and I know its a long shot but I would trade if interested

You can shoot them in the GP100...know a guy that does and to great effect. And, remember...if you'll get after them, the 358429 will shoot like it has eyes.

This is the one gun I can think of where Lyman's varying cherries really do make a difference. Some 358429 molds work with most GP-100's, some won't. There have been several multiple page threads about this in the past.

My particular two cavity works with my GP-100 with a few thousandths to spare, but I really don't want to see any bullet creep under recoil (I haven't yet).

That's good news I was just holding it next to a loaded 158 SWC looked like it will be a full cylinder length for sure I need to order some more tool heads I took the 357 dies out to load up some nines for a friend so I have not loaded any yet thanks guys!

Two simple options:

Seat deeper in your .357 brass and crimp over the front driving band.

Seat in .38 Special brass as was originally intended for that bullet.

The case capacity ends up being about the same either way.

Bigslug brings up a good point that is often forgotten today: The 358429 was originally meant for the .38 Special, no .357 magnums around when it was designed.

That's what I had seen but I couldn't beat the price plus I love the cast molds easier than brass on the one hand but I love the noe molds I reckon just looking to have a reason to get another one! Thanks everyone.
