I needed a bunch of boolets PC'd base only so I poured a pile of HF red in the bowl and dipped the base of boolit into powder and lifted it out and tapped and had a perfect coated base. Used a tong type tool to hold boolit and put it in block upside down(base up) and into the stove. Life is good when it gets simple!!

its really the lube grooves on back around GC. I don't need it on the nose!

if the nose fit's why make it too big?

I am not trying to increase size, only PC where the lube goes and catch the GC at same time. I simply skipped the shake process because of all the static in air from wood heat the powder hung on to boolit.

I've done this also. With my .223 boolits. It is not as thick as tumbling, but it does leave the nose clean for more repeatable seating depths.

Havnt got got to play with it much yet as far as loads go.
