Was there ever a solid nose version of the Lyman 44 429640 "Devastator" made?

This one has pins that can be turned over and make solid nose. It is quite accurate. You could also get Accurate molds to make you one.

I have/use the mihec 640's/devestator bullets also, can't say enough good about them. Have the 125grhp/135grsolid 9mm version, the 158gr hp/170grsolid 38spl/357 version and the 250grhp/270grsolid 44cal version of the 640/devestator bullet.
These bullets are extremely accurate and have tons of smack when used with a solid nose.

I had "Buckshot" that is on the site make an insertable plug that is held in place with a set screw so I have the option of either making HP or the original solid nosed RCBS .416 boolets, a very good investment.Robert

I was over on the NOE web sight. He has 429640 molds in about any variant you would want. FN, cup point, HP, 2 through 5 cavities and in brass or aluminum..... Perfect.

If you don't have to have a gas check, the Lyman 429-667 is a virtual dead ringer for the profile of the 429-640

The Lyman 429640 was offered in a 2-cav solid before the HP version in a single became the norm. Somewhere in the mid 90's best I can tell by catalog references. Several others have cloned it , or copied it with changes.
