Purchased a 45 Uberti from Taylor's and Co. with 7" barrel last November and just had time to shoot it yesterday. I'm hooked! Wow, shoots great and feels great in my hand. Shooting 255 gr. PC'd. , smokeless powder. CR

Had a custom shop Smith #3 presentation case and all….45 Schofield…loved the design and its place in Cavalry history and all that…but…it had a .035" cylinder gap to barrel and an atrocious trigger. Because the way it was made my smith said it couldn't be fixed, the gap that is, said he would send it back to Smith and I declined.
So I traded it on another 1911 Colt…more happy. Now I have 350 rounds of Schofield that I shoot in the .45 Colt…they're OK.
