Just bought a new super RedHawk toklat .454 casull. I was loading up a few rounds to shoot once the weather gets better, in my vaquero I shoot .452 lazer cast round nose 250gr on a whim I decided to see if they were snug in the cylinder I was able to simply drop one through 3/6 cylinders the other 3 were snug but could be pushed though fairly easily. I took some .454 RN from dardas that I load in my 92 Rossi and none fell through but could all be pushed through but not as easily.
Im really a noob on cast bullets and sizing and need some advice on what size bullet to shoot from this one. I'm looking at a 275 gr Swc from rim rock bullets. I don't plan a ton of .454 casull loads but want to load some pretty warm 45 colt loads for woods walking and elk hunting in big bear country here in WY.
