just fired my first Home cast load.

I just stepped out of the back of my shop and fired my first cast load of 243gr wheel weights into my berm. All I can say is that JAVELINA 50/50 smells like a dead cat that someone puked on. The smell does not mix well with my normal hoppe's #9 cologne. My handy dandy RCBS 240 gr 44 mould, cast bullets that seat out over the maximum C.O.L. recommendations for the .44 Normal length for a .44 is 1.610. If I seat these in the crimp grove they measure just about 1.650. Still they cycle handily through my 1894.

If I would have fired more than one shot, probably would have had the best group of my life as it's pretty dark out this evening. :-D

...............Javalina smell bad?????? Why the NRA 50/50 formula is like ambrosia, and similar to Hoppe's #9 in the high regard it's held :-)
