What might this be?

It melted just like lead. Bright and shiney.

I originally melted a small section with a propane torch and it tested right at 10BHN after air cooled.

My first guess would be pewter and my second guess would be pewter. Whether it is lead free or not, no idea

Pewter and tin alloys will melt at a lower temp than lead by a enough you can tell the difference. BTW - in case someone reading this did not get the yanking chain icon. Pewter is mostly tin.
