I have decided to try some lubes in my quest for 2000 fps with or with out PC. I made a batch of the Simple Lube mixture and started trying that in place of Ben'sRed. I was not using lube on PC'd boolits but could not keep anything together as we approached 2000fps. Well, I definetly can say after working this load for my 308 that PC and Simple lube shoot tighter. I have the cases sorted, turned the necks, and same length. The boolit is the RCBS 30-180, GC installed, shaked in plastic container, noses cleaned and put butt up in wooden block, baked and then lubed and loaded. Might not work for you but I have shot this enough back and forth to say yes it is better with Simple Lube on. I apply the lube by hand as my mixture is a wee bit stiff. I am going to work with my one 7.62x39 with this application and see what happens. By the way, shooting in the cold and 1st shot stayed together!
