IllinoisCarry.com and Illinois State Rifle Association Join Forces!

Mike and Valinda Rowe, Springfield Coordinators and lobbyists for IllinoisCarry and ISRA

When the General Assembly returned to session this week, there were two new faces joining the ISRA team. Valinda Rowe, (that's me, Molly B.) spokesperson for IllinoisCarry.com, and her husband Mike will serve as Springfield Coordinators and lobbyists for both IllinoisCarry.com and the ISRA. It was almost inevitable that the two top Second Amendment organizations in the state should team up to form an even more effective presence in Springfield. The national award winning ISRA and the national award winning grassroots group IllinoisCarry.com are joining forces for an even stronger front in the battle for Second Amendment rights for Illinois citizens. The two organizations represent nearly 40,000 gun owners in the State of Illinois.

ISRA President Don Moran, "We have worked closely with Valinda and Mike over the past decade, our parallel cases, IC / SAF's Moore v Madigan and NRA / ISRA's Sheppard v Madigan being the straw that broke the camel's back in moving CCL forward in Illinois. It's been a partnership for some time and our codifying it has been long overdue. The ISRA welcomes Valinda and Mike on board and we look forward to continuing to fight together for firearms rights in Illinois for years to come." ISRA Executive Director Richard Pearson, “I am pleased that the ISRA and IllinoisCarry are working together. The gun owners of this state will be well represented by this partnership.”

Valinda and her husband, Mike, are excited about their new role in Springfield, “We believe this partnership will benefit both organizations and help each group to be better, stronger, and more efficient in many ways. We have always enjoyed working alongside our ISRA friends and we are excited to see our relationship expand. It is our hope to not only strengthen ISRA’s presence in Springfield but to also increase the overall presence of all Second Amendment supporters.”

It takes all of us, each and every one of us, to prevail against the anti-rights crowd. It is important that we continue to increase membership numbers both at IllinoisCarry and the ISRA. The larger the numbers, the larger the impact the organizations will have in Springfield. Efforts like this also take funding, even on the tightest budget being in Springfield can be expensive. IllinoisCarry has never been one to push for funding, however, we ask for your moral support, financial support, and to be there when we put out the call for witness slips, e-mails and phone calls. We can’t get this done without the help of the good, reliable folks at IllinoisCarry who are willing to roll up their sleeves and work us. ”

Now lets all join there to see and help win more fights.

And now you see just why Illinois was the last state to get CCW.

With several hundred residents here and not one comment about the couple that put the IGOLD parade together each year and have for many years

Yes I am proud to call them my friends and will jump to help them any time they ask.

Rant over

Working on that parade is a 'dirty job', but Mike Rowe shines at that sort of thing.

At the end of the 2014 parade Mike was so exhausted I asked Valinda if we should get the paramedics.

Not only does this pair MAKE the parade happen but they constantly travel from one end of Illinois to the other all year long to inform residents of just what "THE CHIRAQ" mob has planned.

Truly a very dedicated pair.

I just got off the phone with Valinda Rowe and she confirmed that the IGOLD parade is a go for this year and they are putting together a bus schedule to take folks from all over the state directly to the convention center then marching on the capitol building to make our voices heard.

Now how many here will join me?

Meet me there and meet this dynamic duo that have done so much to help get our 2A rights back.

You might also meet OUR NRA rep in person.

Todd is a walking legend for us.

See you there.

Bill, Thanks so much for your efforts for the 2A fight in Illinois. I never thought it would affect me or MINE but, my son will be attending Rosalind Franklin medical college as a PA student starting in May. It's on Chi town's north side across the road from the great lakes Naval station. He'll be there for 2 years.

He wants to be able to possess guns in his dwelling as well as CCW while shopping ET AL. He's started to get his FOID, and will get the other paperwork for the CCW. He has his Wisconsin CCW, but he needs the rest of the paperwork for the CCW. I'm sure he has a handle on what he needs, the only thing I can think of is residency requirements as a student becoming a problem.

Hopefully he can get 'er done before he moves.

Today the ILLINOIS STATE RIFLE ASSN released the schedule and fees for the buses going from a location near you to the IGOLD march on the capitol and your own politicians personal office.

Yes we know where they are located and are glad to direct you there.

In order to reserve your seat go here http://www.isra.org/Portals/6/ISRA%20documents/IGOLD%202016/IGOLD%20bus%20schedule%202016%20PDF%20website.pdf? ver=2016-02-03-163513-597 and see what is available then call 1-815-635-3166 just like I did and yes they will take your plastic money.

Yes after getting up very early then attending the conference ,marching on the capitol building and visiting your local politician it feels great to sit back and let someone do the driving for a change.:D

Now lets see how many here are going to join me in our continuing battle to get ALL of our 2A rights back.
