Does anyone remember this movie? I was thinking about big guns and suddenly memory came back. Kinda sad ending and wasn't that action oriented yet, l liked seeing really big gun on screen.

Sad but well done, I think I recall they got screwed out of the second heists money by partners but found the relocated school were earlier heist loot was stashed. Used an anti-tank rifle to open a safe. What's not to love?

Saw it years ago when it first came out, but watched it for the cars back then. Will have to watch again.

Great movie. It was filmed about 60 miles from my house. Many of the scenes from "The Untouchables" were filmed in the same area along the Missouri River.

I was friends with the guy that sold the Cannon to Joel Singers uncle at Olde Towne Armory in Alexandria Va. in 1965. The actual Cannon used in the crime was a Lahti 20mm.

Knew a guy, now long gone, who owned a Lathi 20mm anti tank gun. He was a bit of a collector.

Wasn't a Lahti in the movie. Oerlerkin (probably not spelled right) 20 m.m.. Used on ships and some aircraft, Spitfires, Hawker Typhoons etc.

I liked the name Lightfoot, so I named a Horse that.
It was a fantastic horse , but it fell down the bank into a creek and broke it's leg.
I had to shoot it in the head and put it down.
We were all really sad about it.

That is correct. As I said, the actual cannon used in the crime was a Lahti. The title name Thundrbolt and Lightfoot came from a pair of Highwaymen that operated in England in the early 1800's They were immortalized in a book in 1847.

I went to a concert at the weekend. Melissa Etheridge, REO Speedwagon and Huey Lewis. Melissa and the lead singer of REO sang a tribute for Glen.
