My wife's aunt called and said she was cleaning out the garage and had some lead she wanted to get rid of. Her ex-husband left her and she's getting rid of whatever he left behind. He used to make cast nets and she said all this was coww - I did find a small amount of pure lead, which I just threw in the mix. Funny thing is we took the wife's car because I figured it would be like a coffee can full or something - I was pleasantly surprised.

It looks like it was just melted and just allowed to flow out on the ground. I meant to get a pic while I was turning it all into ingots, but I forgot. At any rate 240 lbs. total - didn't cost me a dime :bigsmyl2:.

Many years ago I bought a bunch of lino type. Other than that I've never had ti pay for lead. Scrounge a lot! Bet i got close to a thousand pounds of ingot's laying around right now. They will last me a long time.

I took my wife's car over to a buddies to buy what I thought was a couple of hundred pounds of lead. It turned out to be 1385 pounds. We now call her car the 3/4 ton Camry. It bottomed out over every bump.

Ha! I'd settle for a "thousandaire". When the power ball was way up a few weeks ago we drove over to Florida and blew $45 on Lotto tickets.
