View Full Version : Anyone have info on a Saeco mould #303

..............I have this SC Saeco mould stamped #303. I've not cast with it yet. It looks to be 30 cal of about 180grs and it's a RNGC design, with narrow round bottom lube grooves. Saeco doesn't list that number and doing a web search turns up nothing. I also have a Saeco mould #532. When I bought it many years ago it was a 'Special Order' number. It drops one of their tapered 'Loverin' type scheutzen designs. It drops at .336" on the wide base band, is a flat nose plain base design.

I bought it as at the time when the M95 Steyr 8x56R's were coming on the market it was the mould dropping even close ot the Steyr's groove diameter. Anyone know what it's original intended use was, cartridge wise? BTW, it is a fine shooter in the couple of M95 carbines I have. That is if you keep the velocity down around 1300 fps or so. Doing a web search for this mould is a dead end also. Just curious.
