Watched a YouTube about hollow pointing an a lathe. However th was making hollow base hollow point's. It appeared the lathe had a collet similar to RCBS pro trimmer. Any body familiar with the process and set up?

Thanks,
Bill

Not with a lathe. I do use a Forester trimmer and a hollow pointer and that works pretty nice. I hollow point loaded rounds. Does the lathe do the same?

The Forster trimmer and hollow pointer works good. It is a little slow though.

I have done it in my lathes using either 3C or 5C collets and stops. But it is very VERY time consuming!

I just cast 130-ish HP .359's and use those in my 9mm/38spl/357mags. The $$ investment in a 4 cavity brass or aluminum HP mold is REALLY worth all the time wasted trying to drill each boolit out on a lathe.

Eric does a great job hollow pointing molds. He did my Lyman #358429.
