I received the mold yesterday, cleaned it and poured some lead today, bullets drop at around .476 from the mold, and they are good looking bullets. While I would prefer they held more lube, I am anxious to shoot them. This mold definitely likes to run HOT, which is easy given the fact that the blocks are so small. Now I just need my SBH to get back from Ruger.

After 3 tries, I got one that squeaks out .476", and decently round. The first 2 went in the round file. I could never get full power out of my .475 Linebaugh with it, probably due to the little lube grooves, but it is a VERY accurate design. I have tried and bought a fair selection of .475 molds, and the LEE shoots with the best of them within it's velocity limits. I have shot sub 2" 5 shot 50 yd. groups from mine when started at 550 fps., (5.0 grains of Trailboss). That tells me it is a very stable design.

That bullet likes to lead the last 2 inches of barrel on my SRH, I am assuming it is running out of lube, I am going to try powder coating this bullet since I like the way it shoots.

I cast up a bunch more today, along with some .44-300 bullets, noticed the meplat on the .44 is almost identical to the meplat on the .476, if it is even close to the accuracy of the .44, I will be more than happy to scrub a little lead.

Leading scrubbed right out but I shoot a cylinder full of jacketed bullets once I notice I am getting lead. I never shoot paper groups with any of my hand guns but that bullet hits what ever I aim at.

I have had stupid accuracy with the boolit and Felix lube from my .475 BFR. It is also very good with HS-6 for a mild load. I used 15 gr. With 296 I use 26.5 gr. NOT in a .480 so pay attention.
The boolit does work but if you put mule snot on it, don't blame me.
