I finally found myself a SS flattop 44 special. And for a good price on top of it. BUT it really needs different stocks on it. The factory one fit awful I though about ordering from the usual aftermarket makers but but I was wondering if anyone on this forum either builds some or could refer me to someone who does. I can't afford some from Roy Fishpaw or Rowen but would like something better fitting than Altamont or hogue etc. Thanks

I'd raise heck with Ruger and make them fix it. If enough people ride them about their poor grip fitting, then maybe they'll fix themselves.

I got a good set from a guy on eBay, I can find out for sure when I get back to town on Wednesday. I think he was mazdaman4. He makes them himself. I tried Ajax, & they don't fit.

It's not just my set.. Every one I've seen online have looked this way. But in general ruger plastic Grips seem to fit sloppy on all their revolver in my opinion.Doc.. Do you know what seller? Theres alot of them so it hard to know who's decent

I hope to find out more when I get home. Meanwhile, check my profile, and my stuff. They are on the Ruger there.
