well actually two new guns a bushmaster ar just to stick away in case getting more gets tough and a savage 22. Its the flutted barrel 17 inch threaded gun with an accutrigger. Figure it will be just the ticket to blast up all the subsonic 22 ammo I have that wont run in semi autos. Wanted it camo but the local who does camo dipping closed his doors so I bought a camo wrap kit off ebay and wrapped it yesterday. it came out pretty good. Going to spray matte clear wheel paint over the vinyl so it would hold up a bit better. A trick I learned when having things dipped. Picked up a 2x7 tactical Nikon 22 scope for it. Should be a neat rig.

Nice one Lloyd. I've got one too and it is a great shooter. I just picked up a Ruger 10/22 last week with a factory threaded barrel. Not until I got home and tried to put my suppressor on did I find out that Ruger threaded it 1/2-20. Why they did, I have no idea. I liked the gun enough to order a thread adapter to 1/2-28.

just so you know ive been experimenting a bit with my 10-22, m&p22, and my threaded markIII ruger and the only subsonic ammo ive found that runs in all of them a 100 percent is the norma 22lr that midway has right now. At about 70 bucks a brick shipped its no bargain though.

a good bolt .22rf rifle is always a good thing to have around. i also went with savage, the mark II fv (heavy barrel), accu-trigger apachee mod, rockite stock stiffener/weight mod, simmons 4-12x44 sf, caldwell bipod. quite accurate with just simple cci sv 22's.

Are we supposed to guess what model this is? How about a number for us idiots? I went to the savage site, but darned if I could find it.

Me too Lloyd! A used but like new Marlin M60 with a decent scope. Stopped by a pawn shop on the way home from Dr. visit and paid the princely sum of $129. Heh heh, best trip to the Doctor I ever made. If it's like my others it will shoot quarters all day at 50 yds, maybe dimes!

those are good guns. I think about every gun nut I know has had a couple of those through the years. My grandkids layed claim to the two I had and my everyday 1022. They cleaned out of every 22 I had except for my ar22 that I wouldn't part with so I bought this savage and a while back a 1022 takedown
